Piercing Aftercare Guide

Proper aftercare is essential for safe healing and maintaining the beauty of your new piercing. Please follow these instructions carefully:

  1. Cleaning
Clean the piercing twice a day with a sterile saline solution.
  • Wash your hands before touching the area.
  • Apply saline gently.
  • Remove any dried lymph without twisting the jewelry.
  • Allow the area to air-dry naturally.

  1. Do Not Touch or Rotate
Avoid twisting, turning, or playing with the jewelry. Touch only when absolutely necessary and always with clean hands.

  1. Avoid Makeup & Skincare Products
Keep makeup, lotions, oils, and perfume away from the piercing area until fully healed.

  1. Avoid Swimming
Do not swim in pools, hot tubs, lakes, or oceans during the initial healing stage.

  1. Reduce Pressure & Friction
Avoid sleeping on fresh ear piercings and keep the area free from friction caused by helmets, masks, headphones, or tight clothing.

  1. Watch for Irritation
Normal: mild redness and slight swelling.
    Seek help if you notice:
  • Increasing redness
  • Persistent swelling
  • Yellow or green discharge
  • Heat or sharp pain

  1. Do Not Remove Jewelry Early
Removing jewelry too soon may cause the piercing to close and trap bacteria inside.

  1. Estimated Healing Times
  • Earlobe: 6–8 weeks
  • Helix/Cartilage: 4–12 months
  • Nostril: 3–6 months
  • Septum: 6–8 weeks
  • Navel: 6–12 months

Be Patient
Healing is a gradual process. Stay consistent with aftercare and give your body time to heal.

Avoid Harsh Products
Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Vaseline, or thick ointments.
Do not over-clean — twice daily is enough.
